Description:
Das Osteroratorium von Bach steht wie das Himmelfahrtsoratorium BWV 11 zu Unrecht im Schatten der beiden großen Passionen und des Weihnachtsoratoriums. Es wurde am 1. April 1725 zum ersten Mal aufgeführt. Danach hat Bach das Werk noch mindestens dreimal in den Leipziger Oster-Gottesdiensten zu Gehör gebracht und dabei stets erneut an der Komposition gefeilt. Die vorliegende Neuausgabe gibt erstmals den von Bach als Repertoirefassung angesehenen Notentext der reinschriftlichen Partitur aus den späten 1730er Jahren wieder / Like the Ascension Oratorio BWV 11, Johann Sebastian Bach's Easter Oratorio BWV 249 is entirely and unjustly overshadowed by his two great Passion settings and the Christmas Oratorio. It was given its first performance on 1 April 1725. Thereafter Bach performed the work for his Leipzig congregations on at least three Easter Sundays, touching up the composition each time. Our new edition is the first to reproduce the musical text of the fair autograph score dating from the late 1730s - the text that Bach regarded as the repertoire version / L’oratorio de Pâques, tout comme l’oratorio de l’ascension BWV 11, est injustement dans l’ombre des deux grandes Passions et de l’oratorio de Noël. Il fut créé le 1er avril 1725, avant d’être repris encore trois fois au moins au cours de la Messe de Pâques à Leipzig. A chaque représentation, Bach retravailla la partition. Cette Nouvelle Édition restitue pour la première fois le manuscrit révisé par Bach à la fin des années 1730
