Das Stück besteht aus drei Teilen, die ineinander übergehen. Während im `Prélude` lange, fast wellenförmige Linien horizontal fließen, überwiegt in `Trialogues` das vertikale Element. Hier herrschen markant-polyphone Auseinandersetzungen zwischen den drei Instrumenten in trocken-ironischem Fugato-Satz vor. Der Schlussteil `Milonga` verbindet einen Hauch argentinischen Tango mit innigem lyrischem Ausdruck. Das Werk erscheint in der Reihe `Flöte und Percussion`, der Schwierigkeitsgrad ist Oberstufe. Jean Sevriens, 1959 in den Niederlanden geboren, studierte Musiktheorie und klassische Gitarre. Sein künstlerisches Schaffen umfasst Orchester- und Kammermusikwerke, Vokalkompositionen, Solowerke für verschiedene Instrumente sowie argentinische Tangomusik, Jazz- und Filmmusik // This piece consists of three parts which flow into one another. While long, almost wave- like lines float horizontally in the `Prelude, it is the vertical element which dominates the Trialogue`.
