Mylo Xyloto, is the fifth album from the British rock band Coldplay. It succeeds Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends published in 2008. In stores since October 24, 2011, the album was recorded in London between the year 2009 and the beginning of 2011. It s sold 2 million copies in two weeks of operation.

Musically, the album is inspired by old school American graffiti (the cover represents a wall of graffiti) and the White Rose Movement, a movement of non-violent students who fought Nazism during the Second World War. Singer Chris Martin also says the album was influenced by HBO series The Wire.
