The Garden of sounds

Directory of 30 nursery rhymes and short stories for children aged 0 to 6, to be played by children with simple instruments. The garden of sounds opens concrete avenues of work to be borrowed by all those - early childhood professionals, teachers, educators, parents - who wish to respond to the fundamental need of expression of the child to discover and share with him the pleasure of the music. One of the originalities of this approach, inscribed in the musical awakening, is particularly in the active complicity established between the child and the educator. A theoretical part recalls the importance of sound and music in the child's life since birth and indicates the pedagogical approach to follow in order to make the most of the stories. The garden of sounds is also a picture book whose freshness and readability are in perfect harmony with the imagination of young and young children. Agnès Matthys is a musician, music therapist, member of the pedagogical team for the teaching of music therapy at INFIPP Lyon and responsible for classes of awakening and musical initiation.
