The 13 clarinet studies are rooted in the Cello Suites, the Well-Tempered Clavier and the Piano Concerto.
Regarding the Suites, rather than an exhaustive compilation, I preferred to make a selection of the most appropriate pieces for the clarinet.
The respect of the original tones would have involved jumps of octaves prejudicial to the understanding and the restitution of the architecture of the pieces. So I chose to adapt them. For example, we can fully appreciate the construction of the prelude of the First Suite and its apotheosis in the treble.
These studies having an educational vocation, I hope that clarinettists will find in this collection material to deepen their musical sense.
