Joseph-Hector Fiocco (1703-1741) is considered one of the most important Belgian composers of the late Baroque period.
The Allegro in G Major was originally a movement of the Harpsichord Suites (Harpsichord Pieces, Op.1, 1730). The arrangement for violin and piano of A.Bent and N. O'Neill in 1910 made the piece very popular, especially among violinists.
The Schott Student Edition series is designed for learning the instrument. It contains captivating teaching material from easy pieces to demanding works for conservatory students.
