El puerto Evocation Fête-dieu à séville
Isaac Albéniz wanted to compose "Spanish music with a universal accent". He achieves this goal perfectly in his Iberia suite. This masterpiece of late romanticism, initially published in four "notebooks", finally appears in an Urtext edition which deserves this name, in an engraving and a presentation of the highest level, specific to Henle! The three pieces of the first book, Evocation, El Puerto and Corpus Christi in Seville, are highly appreciated as their technical requirements are easily overcome. Savor them, like Debussy who wrote about them: "We close our eyes and we feel dizzy under the effect of the richness of invention of music!" _
