On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Robert Schumann, an ambitious project has just reached its conclusion: for the first time after the publication by Clara Schumann of Schumann's complete works in 1879-93, all solo piano works are published as part of an editing project. In nearly ten years of painstaking work, all Schumann titles already published by G. Henle Editions have been subjected to a detailed revision. Ernst Herttrich, a Schumann specialist, has put every edition on the test bed, also devoting himself to works that have not been found in our catalog. The results are published in the present collection, comprising six volumes, available in a stitched or bound version and in the series "Studien-Edition" in a box. They replace the four previous volumes (HN 108-HN 115). Explicitly classified according to the opus numbers, this publication not only includes all of Schumann's piano works according to the current state of the art, but also contains informative accompanying texts, alternative versions and much more. 'other stuff.
