DEBUSSY CLAUDE - Jardins sous la pluie DEBUSSY CLAUDE - La soirée dans grenade DEBUSSY CLAUDE - Pagodes
In the Prints cycle, composed of the three Pagodas movements, The Evening in Grenade and Gardens in the Rain, Debussy lets form through images a poetic world of landscapes and distant lands. He composed these pieces in the summer of 1903, during a stay in Bichain, in the north of Burgundy. On the spot, he affirms in a letter: "When you can't afford to travel, you have to make up for it with your imagination." The last movement, very virtuoso, revives the visionary Images of 1894 (HN 846).
