The rhythm over the works is a repertoire for students of musical training (end of the 1st cycle and 2nd cycle). Each proposed acquisition obtains as much diversity as possible. From Purcell to Messiaen, from largo to presto, from piano to forte, from legato to staccato, the rhythmic practice is varied. All the examples are drawn from characteristic works, where the rhythmic element is primordial. The purpose of this book is to put rhythmic work back into its musical context, in the service of reading and performing scores. The use of this collection by the teacher can be wide: listening and memorizing, imitation spoken, struck or danced, reading, singing or instrumental reproduction. Finally, this manual wants to give students the desire to go to the works from which the examples are extracted, to discover composers they ignore, guided by their teacher, for whom I hope that this basic work can be a help to his teaching.
