In this publication, Bruno-Jean Villard offers a wide range of exercises conceived from body percussion and cup drums to develop innovative collective rhythmic practices, both in school and out-of-school settings.
His approach privileges the gestural memorization of different ostinatos: 12 for "body drums" and 6 for "cup drums" (plastic cups hit with the hands or hit in different ways on a table). In the DVD, the educator can find all the gestures, movements and sequences that clearly reflect the rhythmic writing of these ostinatos. This resource is fundamental because mastering and precision of execution will depend on the quality of the final result.
The CD, meanwhile, offers five instrumental supports, at two different tempos, to implement, successively or simultaneously, ostinatos drawn from the reservoir made available.
